Lorraine L. Dunn

Lorraine L. Dunn, wife of The Rev. George E, Dunn, died on May 25 at Sky Ridge Hospital. She was 80 years of age and lived at the VI, a retirement community in Highlands Ranch, CO. Lorraine and George had been married for 58 years and were the parents of a son, George (Ed) Dunn Jr and a daughter Elizabeth Higgins, and grandparents to seven.

Lorraine was born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey and was educated at Scott High School in East Orange and at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY where she earned a BS in accounting. She was a CPA in both New York and in Colorado and for most of her career she specialized in tax accounting. Her parents were The Rev. Dr. Evald Benjimin Lawson and Ruth Lawson. Lorraine invested much of her time teaching her friends and neighbors about sound tax planning and gave annual lectures on taxes at her church and her retirement community.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made in Lorraine’s name to St. Andrew United Methodist Church 9203 S. University Blvd. Highlands Ranch, CO 80126.
