Janet Maggard Cunningham, born on June 21, 1959, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to Mable (Brodie) and Jeffro Maggard, passed away on June 13, 2026, at 7:45 a.m. in Lakewood, Colorado.

Janet is survived by her children and their loving spouses, Jesse (Cinthia Monroe) and Jaquelyn (Vickel Maharaj) of Colorado; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jeffery, Joy, and Jon Maggard of Michigan; the father of her children, Jeffrey Cunningham of Colorado; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Janet spent her life showing compassion to all she encountered. She saw the good in everyone she met and was a genuinely caring and kind human being. Her warmth, understanding, and willingness to help others touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She loved holidays, especially Christmas and Easter, and was the source of many children’s large Easter baskets throughout the years.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother & faithful servant of the Lord, Mable Maggard; her father, Jeffro Maggard; her nephew, Jared; and her grandson, Damion, with whom she is now reunited at the Lord’s table.

Janet, Mom, Grandma, Sister—you will be so deeply missed. Your love, kindness, wisdom and memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you Forever.
