Gary Orris Bean

Gary Orris Bean aged 79, passed away on July 28th, 2025.  He was born on March 10th, 1946, in Detroit, MI to Orris and Henrietta (Goucher) Bean. He attended Ranum High School in Denver and graduated from Denver University with a BS in Mathematics.  He joined the Navy in 1968 and served in Japan and Long Beach, CA as a Communications Technician. Gary married Sonja Kathleen (Kathy) Conner on August 27th, 1972, in Long Beach, CA.  The couple moved to Denver and lived there for a period of time before they became proud residents of Erie, CO.

Gary loved sports, reading and learning facts about every facet of life.  He could have competed very well on Jeopardy. Gary and Kathy loved spending time at home with their dogs and wildlife, camping and searching for their next favorite restaurant. 

He is survived by his daughters Leslie Kaczeus (Steve) and Kerri Bean; 2 grandchildren Randee Kaczeus  & Dylan Kaczeus (Sophia); 3 great grandchildren Ayla Brown, Atlas Kaczeus and Ricky Kaczeus, sisters-in-law Mary Greene-Beer (Travis) and Julie Conner; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
