Joseph M. Apodaca of Denver, Colorado
Born in Denver, Colorado on April 7, 1941, he was the son of Frances Sanchez and Tony Espinosa.
Family and friends were the center of Joe’s life; he loved people and had a very active social life.
Joe had a passion for music, every genre, especially oldies and jazz. He attended many concerts and enjoyed singing karaoke.
He enjoyed spending time with his family celebrating holidays, birthdays, trips to the mountains and teaching his grandsons how to play poker.
Joe enjoyed meeting with friends a few times a week for hamburger night, poker and karaoke.
He lived life to its fullest.
Joe served in the United States Army in 1959-1962.
He was a proud letter carrier for 31 years when he met several lifelong friends.
Joe was a great Dad, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Uncle.
Joe was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 42 year, Victoria Apodaca;
his children, Lisa (Cliff) Bjorgum, Paula Maes, and Terrence (Michelle) Apodaca;
his grandchildren, Briana (Alfredo) Maes, Marrisa (Elijah) Rene, Dominic Maes, Emon, Xion, Serenity, Aiyana, and La’Ijah Rene, Zachary (Bryanna) Maes, Brittany Apodaca, Christopher (Kaitlyn) Apodaca, Joshua (Brooke) Bjorgum, Victoria (Jordan) Whisler, Joey Apodaca and Anthony Apodaca;
his great grandchildren, Evan and Emma Michel, Dominic, Xion, Serenity, Aiyana, and Liza Maes, Gianni Apodaca, Mason and Gideon Apodaca.And several nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and several extended family members who are welcoming him home to Heaven.
He leaves behind a legacy of treasured relationships, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
