Lisa "Joann" Padilla

Lisa JoAnn Padilla, also known as JoAnn or Jo, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2025, at the age of 54. She was born to Arturo “Baldy” Chacon and Amelia (Mella) Chacon on January 21, 1971.   

JoAnn was a devoted mother to six children—Joshua, Ashley, Shantal, Brian, Cody, and Candyse—and a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Liliana, Nathan Jr., Annalisa, Rebecca, Isabella, Sophia, Lorenzo, David Jr., and Stella. Her legacy of love, resilience, and positivity will be carried on by her family.   

She is survived by her siblings: Anthony Armijo, Theresa Chacon, Patrisha Dominguez, Pamala Chacon, Art Chacon, and Andrew Chacon. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Baldy and Mella; her brother, Vince Wieberg; and her children, Joshua, Shantal, and Brian.   

JoAnn’s steadfast commitment to her family, her generosity, and her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.   

A celebration of JoAnn’s life will be held on July 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Jude’s Catholic Church (9405 W Florida Ave., Lakewood, CO, 80232).  A reception will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Discovery Park (3701 Johnson St, Wheat Ridge, CO, 80033), featuring a potluck and a balloon release. Guests are encouraged to bring a dish to share white, purple, and black balloons in her memory. The park also offers a water play area for children.
