Robert Thomas "Bob" Crowe

Robert Thomas “Bob” Crowe, 75, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on June 3, 2026.

Born on April 5, 1951, in Flint, Michigan, to John Cecil Crowe and Eliza Amelia Ott, Bob built a life defined by hard work, generosity, and a remarkable ability to connect with others. After leaving Michigan, he moved to Kansas, where he began his paint career. He later settled in Colorado Springs where he proudly owned his own paint store. When he moved to Lakewood, he opened Smart Painting, a paint and construction business that reflected his dedication and craftsmanship.

After stepping away from the paint industry, Bob found new purpose working for Jefferson County Schools Transportation, where he compassionately transported special needs children. His kindness and patience made a lasting impact on the students and families he served.

Bob will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his sharp wit, and his gift for conversation. He often said he “knew a little bit about a lot of things,” and he delighted in sharing stories and laughter. A passionate cook, Bob always made enough food to send visitors home with something warm and homemade. His warmth, humor, and generosity will be forever missed and always held in our hearts.

Bob is survived by his wife, Susan; his sons, Jon (Christy) and Alan; his grandsons, Thomas and Michael; along with extended family and friends who loved him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
