Robert Joseph Martinez

Robert J. Martinez, lovingly known as “Bob,” was born in Colorado to Leasher Martinez and Annie Martinez (Watson). He passed away on March 22, 2026, in Lakewood, Colorado.

Robert attended West High School and went on to live a life defined by dedication, service, and love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later worked as a machinist at Flame Spray Inc., where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.

On November 14, 1966, he married the love of his life, Yvonne S. Martinez, in Denver, Colorado. Together, they shared sixty wonderful years of marriage. Robert passed away just one week before his beloved wife, and they will be interred together, reunited in eternal rest.

Robert will always be remembered for his hard work, devotion to his family, and the steady presence he provided to those who loved him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his two children, seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and one sister.

Services will be held on April 20, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Sheridan. Services will then continue at Ft. Logan, where Robert and Yvonne will be laid to rest together.
