Blake Gary White

Blake Gary White (37) was born December 29, 1988, and passed away July 6, 2026, at his home in Colorado Springs.

Blake was physically and metaphorically larger than life. He used his athletic body to enjoy football, basketball, rugby, jiu jitsu, rock climbing, mountaineering, and any other challenge he could find. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman. He loved rock climbing in his younger years and later enjoyed sharing that passion with his daughter. His heart was just as big. He loved his wife and daughters passionately and was a protector of those who could not protect themselves. 

He met Sarah while working at a center for troubled youth. In 2013, he joined the U.S. Army and excelled as an EOD (bomb) specialist, serving a distinguished career that took him around the world through assignments and deployments. In 2025, he was honorably discharged. He and his family chose to make their home in Colorado. 

Blake is survived by wife, Sarah Holdsambeck White; daughters, Amelia and Maevis; father, Phillip White; siblings, P. Zachary (Amber), Kyle (Karisha), and Madeleine. In-laws, Steve and Allyson Holdsambeck, Rachel, Josh, and Martha; grandparents, Maxine White, and Gary and Pam Hurley; uncle Bradley Jake White; aunts Lana (Rex) Heyns and Kristen (Ralph) Clegg, as well as six cousins and nine nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by his grandfather, Phil White; uncle Doug White; and his mother, Susan Hurley White.
