Brian Gayle Lower

April 24, 1944 — July 17, 2025

Brian G. Lower, age 81, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025.

A proud and resilient disabled Vietnam veteran, Brian served his country with honor and dignity. During his service, he was exposed to Agent Orange—an experience that marked his life with ongoing challenges, yet also revealed his remarkable strength and perseverance.

Brian found joy and purpose in the simple and meaningful parts of life. He spent countless hours writing an extensive historical record of his family, preserving treasured memories for future generations. Brian was a devoted fan of the Indianapolis 500, never missing a race. He also loved gardening, where he found comfort in the rhythm of nature and the peace it brought him.

Brian was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Myong Lower, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage beginning June 19, 1986. Together, they built a life filled with love, resilience, and family.

He is survived by Myong and their children: Melissa Lobes, Vickie Power, Robert Lower, Sea Kim, Tammy Henderson, and Tak Kim. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A service with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest among fellow heroes.

Brian’s life was one of dedication to his country, his family, and to preserving the stories that shape who we are. He will be deeply missed.
