Emblem

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Heather Elizabeth (Aylesworth) Parsons in Colorado Springs, CO on May 13, 2026 following a brave, graceful 4 year battle with cancer. She was born on December 8, 1965, and was quickly adopted into the loving family of Jack and Sharon Aylesworth, who preceded her in death. The family moved from Erie, PA to Scottsdale, AZ in 1974 where she spent her formative years.

After graduating from Scottsdale High in Arizona, Heather joined the United States Navy where she served with distinction as an Intelligence Specialist, completing several deployments and other assignments around the world. After leaving the Navy, she lived and worked in San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C., on space and satellite systems. In the mid 2000's, Heather completed her Bachelors Degree and two Masters Degrees (Colorado State University), and embarked on a career in corporate call center management. She loved this career and ended up traveling all over the United States, Europe, Asia and Central America as a Senior Vice President specializing in crisis management with companies including Dish Network, MoneyGram, Expedia and Charter Communications. Heather was a dedicated "dog-mom", and remained active in pet rescue and charities throughout her life.

Heather was a tremendous inspiration to everyone who came in contact with her. She is remembered with love by her devoted husband of over 35 years, Brett Parsons, her two faithful puppies (Huckleberry and Holly Belle), her sister Beth Anderson (Steve), her brother Bill Aylesworth (Tiffanie),

her sister Jennifer Aylesworth Benson, her sister in-law Kimberly (Parsons) Dawson (David), two close brothers in-law (Christopher & Perry Parsons), her loving friend and cousin Rae Young, 22 nephews & nieces and their families, and numerous other family and friends. She was a devoted wife, a kind and giving sister, and a loyal friend. Heather is greatly missed. Her undying love, kindness and determined spirit will be cherished forever by all who knew her.

Heather will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., at a future date. A celebration of Heather's life will be held later in 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona. Funeral and Memorial Service updates will be posted on Heather’s Obituary page as details become available (see https://www.altogetherfuneral.com/obituaries/). In memory of Heather, donations may be made to The English Springer Rescue Association (ESRA), or The Colorectal Cancer Alliance (CCA).
