Jane Littrell
April 8, 1938 — May 9, 2024
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
This was the life verse of Jane Littrell (86), who entered the Lord’s presence May 9, 2024, just a few days short of her 60th wedding anniversary. A celebration of her life service will be held at 1:00pm on July 20th at New Life Midtown, 5090 Austin Bluffs Pkwy, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Jane was born April 8, 1938 in New Orleans, LA. At about the age of six her family moved to San Antonio, TX., where she attended a private Lutheran school. Her early years of employment were associated with food and retail services at Kelly AFB. She and her husband to be Glenn Sr., who was stationed there, met in October of 1963. They were married May 17, 1964. She continued her career while giving birth to their first child, Glenn Jr. The family moved to La Puente, California in 1968. There she became a stay-at-home mom with son, Glenn Jr. aka. Bubba, and gave birth to her first daughter, Kelee. Jane publicly acknowledged Jesus Christ as her Savior in the Spring of 1970 and moved to Chicago in 1971 in support of her husband’s studies at Moody Bible Institute. She became a pastor’s wife in 1974, gave birth to daughter, Charis in 1976, and loved working with children throughout their ministry years. She soon acquired the “loving” title of Miss Jane, which continued throughout the remaining years of her life. In 1994 she entered the work force again at a Christian bookstore in Sioux City, Iowa until retirement in 2009 at the age of 70. Seemingly unknown to her, she gave off a memorable glow that only the Lord could have orchestrated. That will be greatly missed by all who had the joy and blessing of knowing her.
Jane is survived by her husband, Glenn; three children, Glenn Jr. (Tami), Kelee, Charis (Jason) Cole; five granddaughters, Jane Marie, Rebekah, KeleeAnn (Jon) Moore, Zoe and Zaida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mary Ellen Rasso; sisters and their husbands, Alice and Jon Baux; Rita and Sidney Lightell; Thelma and Dumas Lightell; Theresa and George Bloxham; brother Roland Rasso; brothers and their wives, Roger and Pauline Rasso; James and Joyce Rasso, and granddaughter, Kaia Cole.
Since Miss Jane loved working with children, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship at www.cefonline.com in memory of Jane Littrell. Thank you.
