John Douglas Gamble

John Douglas Gamble, SFC, Ret. departed this life at his home on 6/24/2026.

Born November 15, 1938, in Louisiana, MO. John resided briefly in IL in Springfield, Chicago and Peoria before finally settling in Colorado Springs, CO from 1977 until 6/24/2026.

He served in the Air Force, Army and the Marine Corps Reserve for 24 years before retiring in 1990.

He also worked in the civilian sector of Law Enforcement, Commercial Transportation, Federal/Public service, and in the farming community.

He leaves behind a legacy of one daughter, Charisse (Eric) Greene. Grandsons-Eric (Nanette) Greene, Christopher Greene, great-grandchildren Tyrese Watson, Khalil Greene and Asia Greene along with nephews, nieces, great nephews & great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents Homer & Viola Harvey-Gamble, his son Kevin Gamble, his brothers, Harold Gamble, Fletcher Gamble, Thomas Gamble and his sister Rosemary Gamble.

Per John’s request, no visitation or memorial service will be held prior to the standard Cremation conducted by the: All Veterans Funeral & Cremation, located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Revelation 21:4
