Bruce Thomas Atkins

August 12, 1952 — June 22, 2025

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Bruce Thomas Atkins. Bruce passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

Bruce was deeply loved and survived by his wife of almost 50 years whom he met when they both served in the United States Air Force. He was also survived and cherished by children, grandchildren, sisters, in-laws and many other beloved family members and friends.

Bruce loved to travel and made countless wonderful and humorous memories with his wife and kids on multiple family road trips across the country exploring favorite destinations (except for the Grand Canyon as he deemed it “just a giant hole in the ground”). But he loved Colorado most of all and was so grateful to have made his home here with his family.

He passed on a love of music, movies, and pop culture to his children and loved exposing them to the media that he held most dear. He was an avid fan of sports which he loved watching with his wife and daughter and was a proud supporter of teams such as the Broncos, Steelers, Lions, Avalanche, and Wyoming Cowboys, collecting memorabilia for each team.

No services will be held per Bruce and his families’ wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to any Native American charities would be appreciated as Bruce loved to provide support where he could.
