Hazel Alice Walter

Hazel Alice Walter, 87, of Centennial, Colorado, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on June 17, 2026, with her family by her side.

She was born October 26, 1938, in Torrington, Wyoming, the daughter of William and Eva Beisner. Alice graduated from Wheatland High School in 1956. Alice He was preceded in death by her son David Earle Walter, parents, brother Charles Beisner and sisters Esther Bach and Wilma Herrick. Se is survived her daughter Hazel Earlene Coats, son Gary Alan Walter (Michelle), daughter-in-law Debbie Powell (Rob), granddaughter Robin Lynn Zane (Matthew), grandson Randy Walter Coats (Adriana) and great grandchildren Zoey, Harper, and Xander Zane, Charlotte, Carter, Haven and Noah Coats, step granddaughter Cindy Wysocki (Jeff), their sons, Tanner, Trace and Turner, step grandson Ryan Coats and son Jordan, sisters Lucille Morrison, and Eva Marie Beisner along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Alice worked as a secretary at the University of Wyoming, at Bauble Mart where she learned to make jewelry and then taught others. She went on to be an administrative assistant at Snelling and Snelling Employment Agency. She married Edwin Earle Walter on June 1, 1958. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2015.

Alice was a devout member of Calvary Bethany Church. She was also a member of the Southwind Civic Association where she served on the board for many years. She and Earle enjoyed traveling together, square dancing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. Alice was also a gifted seamstress, enjoyed making jewelry, loved playing games, and jigsaw puzzles. Alice was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed.

Cremation has been accorded. A shelter service will take place at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. If you plan on attending, please arrive by 12:15 p.m. to Staging Area Blue and remain in your vehicle. A memorial service will be held following the burial at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Bethany Church located at 6240 S. Broadway Centennial, CO 80121. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Services have been entrusted to All Veterans Funeral and Cremation of Colorado.
