Orlando W. Martinez, Jr.
Oct 13, 1943 — Mar 22, 2026
Orlando William Martinez Jr., lovingly known as “Orlie,” entered eternal rest on March 22, 2026,surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 82.
Orlando was born on October 13, 1943, in Del Norte, Colorado, to Orlando Martinez Sr. and Mary Martinez. He built a life rooted in hard work, dedication, and deep love for his family.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. After his service, Orlando dedicated 43 years of his life to his career as an electrician, a trade he took great pride in. He was a member of Local 68 IBEW Union and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Orlando was a man of faith and a devoted Catholic. He lived his life quietly but powerfully through his actions—always giving, always caring, and always making sure those around him were taken care of. His personality was marked by humor, kindness, and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
He had a deep love for golf and, above all, cherished time spent with his family. Family was everything to Orlando, and his presence brought strength, comfort, and stability to those he loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica “Roni” Martinez; his children, including Melissa Martinez; his grandchildren Anthony Martinez, Neil Peacock, and Mira Peacock; and his great-grandchildren Dominic Martinez and Jasir Ba. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will live on through all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlando Martinez Sr. and Mary Martinez, and his granddaughter, Krystal Martinez.
Orlando will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—aman who gave freely, loved deeply, and lived with quiet strength.
Forever in our hearts. Love lives forever.
