Edward was born in Taos NM on September 21, 1947 to Eduardo Mondragon and Juanita Romera, Mondragon and died December 25, 2010 in Aurora, Colorado.
He attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Edward enlisted in the Navy in 1966 and was discharged in 1972. Edward was 100% Service Connected Disabled and received 2 kidney transplants after his discharge from the US Navy.
He was employed with FMC in Green River, Wyoming at the time of his death. Edward had 35 years with FMC.
Edward was preceeded in death by his parents, Eduardo and Juanita Mondragon.
Survivors; his Wife of 26 years, Renee Elizabeth Mondragon of Aurora, Colorado, Daughters; Annie Lamorie and three children of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Letitia Whittaker and four children of Charlotte NC, and Kristy Mondragon-Gonzalez and three childrenof Rock Springs, WY, Sons; John Allen of Aurora, Colorado, Criss Edward Mondragon of Shelby Township, Michigan, Brother; Daniel Mondragon of Lewiston, Idaho who donated his kidney to Edward for his first transplant. Edward had a special bond with his brother because of this.
Edward was survived by 5 granddaughters and 5 grandsons, Nephew: Edward was survived by one nephew, Michael Mondragon of Washington,Niece: Edward was survived by one niece, Lily Fernandez of Rock Spring, Wyoming. Edward was survived by several cousins.
Edward liked to golf, fish, camp, and spend time with his family.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to Wounded Warriors Fund and the National Kidney Foundation or American Kidney Fund,
