Loren Garduno
Aug 13, 1937 — Dec 20, 2018
On Thursday December 20, 2018, Loren Garduno, loving husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend to many, passed away unexpectedly at home at the age of 81.
Loren Garduno was born August 13, 1937 in Salida Colorado to Rubel and Ninfa Gardunio. He graduated from Salida High School in 1955; he went on to honorably serve in the United States Army. Loren retired from AT&T after 28 years in the communication field.
He had a passion for singing and telling stories. He loved sitting on his back porch watching the beautiful sunsets of Colorado with his loving wife, Jan Garduno, of 37 years. History, hunting, singing, gardening, story telling, church and fellowship were a few of many things he enjoyed. Everyone will always remember his smile, stories, and singing with absolute love.
Loren Garduno is survived by his wife Janet Garduno with whom he raised seven children: Lorena, Kenneth, Theresa, Ronette, Brian (Barb) Roy (Danielle) and Candice, nineteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, his brothers Leo (June), Michael, Florence Ray, Claudine Medrano, and Joan Hannie. His parents, three brothers, and his son Kenneth preceded him in death.
Loren loved and lived life to the fullest and will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and love of singing and story telling.
