Barbara Ann Pond

Barbara Ann Pond, beloved wife, sister, friend, and mother figure to so many, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 6, 1946, Barbara spent much of her life in Merritt Island, Florida, where she built a life centered around love, kindness, faith, and community.

Barbara was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert “Bob” Pond, who passed away on December 27, 2011. Their love was one that everyone around them admired, and though they never had children of their own, Barbara became a mother to countless people throughout her life. She had a way of making everyone feel cared for, welcomed, and important.

She is survived by her brothers, Donald Zinkan and Herman Zinkan, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her warmth and generosity.

Barbara was deeply involved in her church and was always willing to help anyone in need. She loved spending time with people, sharing conversations, and making lasting connections wherever she went. One of her favorite places was Grills, where she enjoyed going out and visiting with “her girls,” creating friendships and memories she treasured dearly.

Barbara will be remembered for her compassionate heart, her unwavering kindness, and the love she gave so freely to others. Her presence brought comfort and joy to many, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1610 Coquina Drive, Merritt Island, Florida 32952, on June 28th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
