Jeffrey H. Turner Sr.
November 28, 1946 — November 22, 2025
In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Harold Turner beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and devoted friend.
Jeffery Harold Turner, born November 28, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on November 22, 2025. He lived his life between Missouri, Kansas and Florida, holding deep ties to all places.
Jeffery graduated from Titusville High School in Florida in 1964 and soon answered the call to serve his country. From 1965 to 1969, he served proudly in the United States Navy, a time he remembered with a strong sense of honor and pride.
In 1971, Jeffery married Michel DeMierrie, and together they raised three sons, Jeffery, Wesley and Wayne Turner. Jeffery was a devoted grandfather to Keanna Prestegaard, Madeline Turner, and Weldon Turner, and a proud great-grandfather to Bjorn Prestegaard and Astrid Prestegaard.
Jeffery is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and John Linder, who remained an important part of his life.
After his military service, Jeffery began a long and dedicated career with Henges Insulation. He first worked in St. Louis, Missouri, and later moved to Olathe, Kansas, where he continued with the company as President until his retirement in 1999. His strong work ethic, reliability, and steady presence were deeply valued by those who worked with him.
In 2012, Jeffery returned to Florida, a place that always felt like home. It was there, in 2016, that he married Marie Wrobel, with whom he shared a warm, loving companionship. Together they spent many peaceful hours on the beach—one of Jeffery’s favorite places to be. When Jeffery married Marie, he expanded his heart and his family even further. Through this marriage, he gained two stepdaughters, Wendi Stevens and Kerri Duprey, along with 14 additional grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immeasurable joy and filled his later years with love...
Jeffery loved the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, gardening or simply enjoying the fresh air, he felt most himself under an open sky. His appreciation for nature, his quiet strength, and his down-to-earth spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
May he rest in peace in heaven with our Lord and Savior.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined.
