Linda Louise Sinkule

Jul 4, 1963 — Jun 21, 2026

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life of Linda Louise Sinkule who gained her angel wings on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Though our hearts ache beyond description, we take comfort in knowing that Linda is now at rest in the full embrace of God’s peace and light.

Linda was born on the 4th of July. 1963. She was every bit the fireworks baby to her parents, Frank Sinkule and Mary Lou Sinkule.

Linda was a beacon of kindness, whose gentle spirit touched everyone who met her. Like an angel among us, she offered comfort in time of sorrow and laughter in moments of joy. Linda was a registered nurse for over 30 years. She was a godsend to hundreds of families during her nursing career. While stationed in cardiac ICU, she was the frontline for many patients during their “actively dying hours.” Linda attended the funerals of dozens of her patients. The families always picked her out to personally share their gratitude for her “over the top” TLC. She provided unwavering love and comfort to her family and friends, especially in their darkest hours.

Linda is survived by her four siblings, Sue (Tom) Mulligan, Frank (Margaret) Sinkule, Lisa (John) Gits and Diane (Carl Kandiko) Sinkule. Linda was the big sister to all four of her siblings and loved them and their families, Nieces and nephews, Taylor (Matt) Levins, Tyler Mulligan, Maddison (Mike) Wilson, Alyssa and Dalton Kandiko and great nephew Easton Levins. The five siblings shared a special bond, the foundation of which was built by their parents. Linda’s siblings were acutely attentive to her special needs of the last several years. They listened; they visited; they offered advice; and most importantly they assured and confirmed her faith. Her baby sister, Diane, was her primary caretaker in all areas of her disability and Linda was not shy with her compliments and acknowledgements of Diane’s dedication. She hoped that everyone could have a baby sister like Diane, “who made the bad times good and the good times even better.”

Linda was preceded in death by both of her parents, just weeks apart in 2008. The death of her parents was a significant blow to Linda’s physical and mental wellbeing. They were more than parents to her. Her father, Frank, was her mentor and her mother, Mary Lou, was her best friend. Linda was also preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, brother-in-law, John, numerous aunts and uncles (Sinkules and Hetzels), her special Ron, cousins, and numerous friends.

Although Linda never married, she considered her special friends as her extended family.

We pray that all her loved ones will carry Linda’s spirit, Linda’s faith, Linda’s words of wisdom and Linda’s smile close in their hearts forever. The family also wishes to acknowledge the unmeasurable gifts of love, friendship and caring provided by her extra special friends, and you all know who you are! May her spirit continue to inspire your journey as well.

A funeral (celebration of life) will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 N Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, Florida. Please join us as we honor Linda’s life journey and the countless ways, she blessed our lives.

Your presence and support mean the most. If you would like to honor Linda with a memorial gift, the family suggests donations to a charity of your choice that will remind you of her.

Linda lived in great pain with chronic health issues for the last few years. Today we celebrate her flight – untethered and pain free. Though Linda has taken flight to her Heavenly home, her love remains our guiding light. Until we meet again, we will carry her memory in our hearts, like gentle whispers from Heaven.
