In Loving memory of
Nancy L. Toney, age 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 21 at Harborview Health Center in Melbourne.
She was born on March 16, 1928 in Kansas City, MO to Willa and Calvin Rouse. She married Walter Douglas Toney on December 24, 1954 and soon after they moved to Melbourne, where they purchased a new home for $8200. Nancy would live in that house for the next 70 years.

After retiring Nancy and her husband purchased a cabin in North Carolina which they visited many times. Nancy also did volunteer work for over 50 yrs at Holmes Regional Medical Center. In addition to this Nancy also joined Space Coast Therapy Dogs and with her dog Jes, and later Sunny, visited nursing homes, rehab centers and hospice patients all over Brevard County. Many people’s lives were made better by her cheerful visits and her Shelties which everyone loved to see. Some years after her husband of 43 yrs passed away in 1998 she met Fred Delessio and together they travelled to many places across the US, with there favorite being Baltimore and Boston, where Fred once lived.
Nancy’s long life enriched many other lives along the way and she will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her 3 children, Jim, Jeff, and Jennifer, nieces and nephew’s in MO and Colorado as well as 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
