Paul Kent Pogoda

September 18, 1946 — May 3, 2026

My better half has gone into the either. Our journey here of 48 years is over. Paul is now separated from me by his death on May 3, 2026, at 2:13 p, m.

I held his hands, rubbed his feet and thanked him for our life together. He knows I will love him forever.

Life became difficult for him in the past decade and even before, but he buckled up and took it in his stride.

Working in the steel industry then in optics left him satisfied to be a shopkeeper. The boutique is in two different locations on Monroe Ave in Rochester, N.Y. was challenging and fun. Then its moves to the edge of the Atlantic in Melbourne, FL. Was equally interesting.

Closing it down from its final home at the Eau Gallie Flea Market was sad but necessary in 2002.

Paul’s family predeceased him, his mother Mae Pogoda in 2000, his father, Joseph Pogoda in 1976 and his brother John Pogoda in 2023. Only his niece Stacey Pogoda, and his son Cair remain living across the big pond in England.

Although gone, but not forgotten, we may be closer than ever, if that’s ever possible as we spent 43 of those 48 years constantly by each other’s side. We were ne. I still feel we are. Rest in peace my love, Your wife Paula Pogoda.
