Richard Edward Makowiec, Sr.

In Loving Memory Of
Richard Edward Makowiec, Sr. 79, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Feb 3, 2025.
He was born on June 19, 1945 in Elmira, New York to Walter & Pauline (Lepa) Makowiec.
Richard was a compassionate and devout man who found immense fulfillment in helping others, generously dedicating his time to numerous charities and organizations.
He started his career at General Electric before moving to Florida, where he launched his own commercial painting business.
Later in life, Richard found excitement interacting with customers and co workers at Lowe’s Home Improvement, where he worked for over 20 years.
He was a talented carpenter with a passion for woodworking, capable of crafting almost anything. Richard was avid fisherman who loved exploring new places through his travels, but what he treasured most was the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Makowiec, Daughters Jessica Fallah, Tammy (Chris) Leavitt, Marsha Fallah, Sons, Jeremy Fallah, Shawn (Deb) Makowiec, Chad Makowiec, Niece Robin (Linda Hawley) De Mark, Nephew Johnny De Mark, and his cherished grandchildren, Joshua Leavitt, Kassie Fallah, Kaitlyn Lawler, Jaxon Fallah, Jacob Fallah, and Jude Fallah. As well as many friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Pauline (Lepa) Makowiec, Sister, Betty De Mark, Late wife Linda Makowiec and Son, Richard Makowiec Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Fresh Start Church of Palm Bay, Florida, on Saturday, April 26th at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Health First Hospice of Palm Bay, Florida.
