Shirley Anne Licsko
December 4, 1941 — May 5, 2026
Our hearts are heavy because Shirley A. Licsko, 84, of West Melbourne, FL died Tuesday May 5, 2026 in Orlando Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Stephen R. Licsko who predeceased her in 2001. For the past 14 years she lived with her long-time partner Glenn F. Miller, formerly of Allentown, PA, who passed on April 13, 2026.
Shirley was born in Bethlehem, PA on December 4, 1941 to the late Anthony and Martha (Lawton) Huyter.
She graduated from Liberty High School and became a mother, bank teller, teletype operator for the Bethlehem Steel, secretary for the Bethlehem Township Planning Commission, and then retired after 20 years of service as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Mental Health for the County of Northampton.
Shirley and Glenn had great times with friends and family in Bethlehem, PA and then in Melbourne, FL. They enjoyed taking cruises and traveling, playing bingo, dancing, bowling, and playing poker and other card games; they loved each other through their sunset years and the house they called home is quieter without their laughter and presence.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Denise Collins and son-in-law Ambrose Zoni, her sister Millicent and her husband Robert Ferraira, and Glenn’s daughters Wendy, Tiffany and Amber and their families. Shirley was predeceased by siblings Rosie Derr, Corky Tedesco, Jean Williams, Patsy Comer, Sandra Hawkey, and Helen Daniels.
Family and friends will gather for a dual memorial for Shirley and Glenn on June 16, 2025 in Melbourne, FL.
If you like, please make a donation in Shirley’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
