It is with Heavy heart the family of Mrs. Martha Nguon Hanh Nguyen of Palm Bay, Florida, regrets to announce her passing on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the age of 102.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, on August 30, 1923, and raised in Hanoi, she attended the Catholic educational St Mary's School in Hanoi, owned and operated by French Missionaries. Fluently speaking 2 foreign languages prior to getting married, she worked for the state-owned Vietnam Railways, occupied by the French government and later by the Japanese. She went on to marry the love of her life, Vang Tri Nguyen, on January 1st 1948, until his passing in 2015.
She enjoyed travel, movies, music, and pets. Entertaining others and playing her mandolin while singing in her outstanding Soprano voice was so rewarding to her and everyone.
She was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, as well as the heart and soul of her family. Many knew her as a faithful member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Palm Bay, Florida.
Mrs. Martha Nguon will be eternally remembered by her children: Hai Nguyen, Thuy Nguyen, Oanh Nguyen, Thao Nguyen and Joseph Nguyen; her grandchildren: Uyen Hanh Nguyen, Thu Nguyen, Huy Nguyen, Vu Nguyen, UyDung Nguyen, Kiet Nguyen, Rene Nguyen, Thuy Uyen Nguyen, Minh Nguyen and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Martha Nguon was predeceased by her parents, Phuc Nguyen and Phuong Pham; her husband, Vang Nguyen; and daughter, Hanh Uyen Nguyen.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 12:45 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 300 Malabar Rd SE, Palm Bay, FL 32907. A reception is immediately to follow the Mass.
