Ronald Gail Lemasters
Jul 23, 1949 — Jun 26, 2025
In Loving Memory of
Ronald “Ron” Lemasters, 75, passed away on June 26, 2025. A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend, Ron lived a life defined by generosity, hard work, and quiet strength.
Born on July 23, 1949, Ron was the son of the late James and Ramona “Carlene” Lemasters. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later worked in various machine shops before building his own welding business. Ron was also the owner of the Down Under Restaurant on Hatteras Island, NC, which he ran for 15 years, creating a welcoming place for both locals and visitors.
Ron had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren—Kenley, Jackson, and Blake—whether at their sporting events or just visiting. He was known for his selflessness and unwavering willingness to help others.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Lemasters; his son, Andrew Lemasters; his daughter, Jennifer Harris, and her husband, Michael; his cherished grandchildren, Kenley, Jackson, and Blake; and his loyal cat, Fluffy. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ramona “Carlene” Lemasters.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date in Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation in Ron’s honor to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), an organization he deeply valued for the camaraderie and support it provided:
