Samuel Bell Taylor

Samuel Bell Taylor, 69, of Cocoa, passed away on June 30, 2026.

He was born on August 8, 1956, in Niskayuna, New York to Rose and Thomas Taylor. He grew up in Schenectady, New York and later made his home in Cocoa, Florida.

Sam was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and a proud US Navy veteran.

He will be remembered for his love of family and country. Sam had a hard shell, a soft heart, and a dry sense of humor. Though born in the United States, he took great pride in his Scottish heritage. He had Scotland tattooed across his back.

During his four years of service in the Navy, he traveled throughout Europe while serving aboard the USS Davis as a Boiler Technician. He later graduated from Brevard Community College with an associate degree and dedicated himself to helping homeless veterans access the resources and support they needed. He was also a commercial fisherman.

Outside of work, he enjoyed music and playing the guitar. He was also a massive fan of NASCAR and loved fishing, boating, and football. Those who knew him will remember his lovable nature, strong spirit, and unmistakable stubborn streak.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Taylor; his children, Samuel Taylor, and Heatheranne Sapienza-Seavey; his stepchildren, Scott and Christine Edinger; his grandchildren, Ameilia Sapienza, Abigail Sapienza, Ainsley Seavey, Christopher Seavy, Conchubar (Connor) Seavey, Ava Edinger, and Vivienne Edinger; and siblings, Ann Taylor del Valle, Daniel Taylor, and Andrew Taylor. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Taylor.

Samuel will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. with Navy Honors.

Sam will be deeply missed and remembered with love.
