Kenneth S. Criscio

November 9, 1950 — April 26, 2026

Kenneth S. Criscio, 75, of St. Petersburgh, FL, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2026 while on one of his favorite morning bike rides.

Ken was born in Toledo, OH to Marie and Samuel Criscio on November 9, 1950. He attended Woodward High School and graduated from University of Notre Dame (1973) with a degree in Civil Engineering and later the University of Michigan with a Master of Engineering (2000). He remained an Irish fan through and through but would root for Michigan if they weren’t playing ND. He also loved baseball and followed the Tigers and Rays closely. A true Mustang enthusiast, you could often see—and certainly hear—Ken driving his beloved Pony around the streets of St. Pete.

For years, Ken worked at TECO (Toledo Engineering Co) as a glass plant engineer which allowed him to travel all over the world including China, Africa, South America, and India. He loved travel and last year had a fantastic visit to France with a notable prior trip to Italy which included a visit to Bovino, the home of his grandmother.

Ken was very active in his church, St. Mary Our Lady of Grace, where he was a weekly reader and member of their Brotherhood of the Knights of Columbus Council 2105.

Ken is preceded in death by his son Domenic (2004), wife Kathie (2008), mother (2009), father (2012), daughter Sara Light (2014) and sister Gay (2020).

He loved deeply and was dedicated to his family and friends. He is survived by children Nettie (Peter) Criscio of Ruskin, Megan (Mike) Ivey of Clearwater, and Sharon (Dan) Hensley Alford of Dearborn, MI and grandchildren Nathaniel, Nora, Gray, Kieran, Cormac, Ella, and Elijah.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Our Lady of Grace at 10:00 am on May 23, 2026. Ken will be laid to rest at Old St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, MI on July 25th at 11am with his wife, son, sister, and parents.
