Carl Walter Beier, 78, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Friday, October 19, 2001 at his residence. He was born in Ecorse, Michigan and moved to St. Petersburg in 1982 from Inkster, Michigan. He retired after 50 years as a tool and die maker and had worked for Suncoast Tool and Gauge in Clearwater, Florida. He was a Navy veteran of WW II and was Episcopalian. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Loyal Order Of Moose Lodge #1145 of St. Petersburg. He was a graduate of the Henry Ford Trade School in Dearborn, Michigan.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Genevieve, five daughters, Sandra Jackson of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Jill Garrippe of Taylor, Michigan, Margaret Reed of Sarasota, Florida, Karen Sautter of Upper Peninsula, Michigan, and Jackie Schatz of Garden City, Michigan, four sons, Carl Beier of Germany, Kim Beier of Lake Orion, Michigan, James Murphy, Parker and Patrick Murphy of Kissimmee, Florida, one brother, Emmerson Beier of Wyandotte, Michigan, three sisters, Ruth Holmes of Southgate, Michigan, Lillian McGlibery of Alta Loma, California, Rhea Logan of San Luis Obispo, California, fourteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
