Daisy H. "Dana" Tate, 88, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Friday, January 12th, 2007 at her residence under the care of The Hospice Of The Florida Suncoast. She moved to St. Petersburg in 1954 from her native Chicago and was a homemaker. She was a Soprano vocalist and sang at the Municipal Pier in St. Petersburg in 1957 and 1958. She also appeared on The Arthur Godfrey Hour in Spartanburg, SC. She was Greek Orthodox. She is survived by two sons, Gregory G. Tate of Pickens, SC, Leslie P. Tate of St. Petersburg; three daughters, Elizabeth A. Detschmitsch of Littleton, CO, Cecelia T. Singleton of Six Mile, SC, Patricia L. Cook of Nashville, TN; seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Jesse Franklin Tate.
