It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Darja Pokrajac, who departed this life on May 7, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born on June 17, 1956, in Slovenia, Darja was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. Darja was the beloved mother of Izabelle, Jasmina, and Monica, who will forever remember her love, guidance, and the nurturing spirit that shaped their lives. She was also a proud grandmother to Jermaine, Avani, Solana, Daniel, Christopher & Michelle, who brought her immense joy and happiness. Predeceased by her mother Jennie Rajer and sister Daniela Pizanello, Darja is survived by her brother, Miro Pokrajac, and close friends, Frank and Pierre, who stood by her side through thick and thin. A woman of many interests, Darja found great pleasure in tending to her flowers and plants, nurturing them with love and care, much like she did with her family. Her fondness for birds brought a delightful touch to her daily life, creating a serene atmosphere wherever she was. Darja also enjoyed precious moments at the beach, relishing the soothing waves and warm sun that reflected her calm and considerate personality. Her memorial service will be held on May 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Anderson McQueen Funeral Homes, located at 2201 Dr. M.L.K. Jr St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33704. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Darja’s life and the indelible mark she left upon our hearts. As we reflect on Darja's life, we find solace in the memories of her unwavering kindness and compassion. She will be deeply missed but will remain forever in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her.
