Frances Marie Buch Kisten, 93, of Tierra Verde, Florida, died Sunday, October 28th, 2007 at Bayfront Medical Center. She came to Florida in 1956 from her native Chicago, IL. She was a Legal Secretary working for "Judge" C. I. Carey, Bill Carey, Jack Carey, and F. Richard Hitt. She was a past officer of OES in Berwyn, IL, was a volunteer at Gulf Coast Lung Association, and was an avid world traveler visiting over 80 countries on five continents. She walked on the Great Wall Of China, the ruins of Manchu Picchu, Peru, Acropolis in Athens, Greece, the ruins of Guatemala, to the Klongs of Thailand, the cobblestones of Estonia, the Panama Canal, Hong Kong on the Star Ferry and the Alps of Switzerland to name a few of her favorites. She was a member of Pass -A-Grille Beach Community Church UCC, where she was a member of the Sanctuary Choir, Music Committee, served as secretary for five presidents of the church council, and was the publisher of the Steeple News. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Kisten of Tierra Verde; and one sister, Ruth Bafaro of Homosassa, FL. Her sparkling laughter and kind personality will be missed by her many friends.
