Gladys M. Charles, 78, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. She was born in Cochran, GA and moved to St. Petersburg in 1964 from Columbus, OH. She was a seamstress in theaters and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she was the head of the prayer chain, served on the Stewardship Committee, and was a Sunday School teacher. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Frances Charles of Pinellas Park, FL; one daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Larry Bouchard of St. Petersburg; two brothers, James Hinson of Dublin, GA, Thomas Hinson of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two sisters, Ethel Thompson of Phoenix, AZ, Lucille Smith of Cochran, GA; four grandchildren, Gina Greenfield, Pamela Hanson, Jesse George, Jeremy George; and three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph H. Charles, and a son, Richard Keith Charles.
