Howard Henry Adams

Adams, Howard H., Jr. 80, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Bay Pines VA Hospital under the care of hospice. Formerly of Allentown, PA, he retired after 37 years at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. in Bethlehem, PA; also served 2 years in the U.S. Army Airborne, in Germany during the Korean War. He is survived by his mother, Arlene J. Wilson of Bethlehem, PA; 1 daughter, Lynda P. Allamong of Northampton, PA; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 3 half brothers; and 1 half sister all of Lehigh Valley, PA. He was a Lifetime Member of the D.A.V. Chapter 9/13, The American Legion, Posts 357/14, and The V.F.W., all in St. Petersburg, FL. For several years he played Church League Baseball pitcher in Allentown and football for the Army while serving in Germany. Howard and Stella met at a roller skating rink, "Mealey's" in Allentown in April 1947 and married in April 1948. Cremation and burial at The Bay Pines VA Cemetery no service will be handled by Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home.
