John A. Hancin, 94 of Pinellas Park, Fl died on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family.

John was born on August 7, 1930, in Trenton, NJ predeceased by his parents, John A. Hancin and Virginia Gyetvan Bossman.

John was married to Olga Hancin (Gualfetti) from 1961 until her passing in 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon K. Hancin (Dunkin), whom he married in 2006.

John leaves behind his children; Britta Stewart of MS, John J. Hancin of NC and Paula M. DeBlasio and husband Richard of Florida. Stepchildren, Fredrick Crucili, Elvira Kensler (deceased), Ashley Matthews (Aaron), Stephanie Buchinsky (James), along with many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

After serving in the U.S. Coast Guard and Coast Guard Reserves during the Korean War, he worked and retired from NWL Transformers in Bordentown, NJ. Upon retiring to Florida, John stayed busy working many jobs including the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Enterprise Rental Car.

John’s smile that lights up a room and his love for life will be greatly missed. His female friends will miss being called Doll and his male friends will by missed being called Dad.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home in St Petersburg FL. Visitation for friends from 10:00 am- 11:00 am, followed by burial at Sunnyside Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL.
