Joseph G. Knight

Joseph G. Knight, 90, of St. Petersburg Florida, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 14, 1925 to the late Joseph G. Knight and the late Mary Knight. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Joseph also served as a New York City Fireman for twenty years. He enjoyed playing golf, flying model planes, and spending time with his family. Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy. Joseph is survived by his sister Anne Anderson as well as five children: Joseph Knight (and his wife Karen Knight); Robert Knight (and his wife Diane Knight); Kathleen Knight; Thomas Knight; and Mary Knight-Martin (and her husband Logan Martin). Joseph is also survived by grandchildren Robert Knight (and his wife Carrie Fullington-Knight), Gregory Knight, Danielle Delvecchio (and her husband Alan Delvecchio), Jason Knight (and his wife April Knight), Erin Knight, Michael Knight, Ashley Knight, Jenna Knight, Jon-Ryan Johnson, Benjamin Martin, Kate Martin and great-grandchildren, Brandon Knight, Cara Knight, Cameron Knight, Arianna Knight, Ryan Knight, Autumn Knight, Caleb Houchins, Kayla Knight, and Joey Knight. A viewing will be held at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. M.L. King Street North, on Sunday September 20, 2015 from 6pm-8pm, and a memorial service on September 21, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. A burial service will be held on September 21, 2015 at 1:30 P.M at The Florida National Cemetery, located at 6502 SW 102 Avenue, Bushnell, FL.
