June V. Kurtz of St. Petersburg, passed away August 19, 2014 at the age of 90. Born July 25, 1924, in Detroit, MI., moved to St. Petersburg in 1941. June Graduated in the class of 1942 from St Petersburg High School; worked at Florida Power for 20 years and as a legal guardian for 12 years. June was a long time member of Allendale United Methodist Church, La Sertoma, and Kwan Yin Mother's club. June is survived of by her husband of 67 years, H. Phil Kurtz, and their three children: Dr. Diane Hartley and her husband Steve, Richard Kurtz and his wife Vickie, and Robert Kurtz and his wife Sherry; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. June is also survived by her brother Ted Van Son.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, at 10:00 am, at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Suncoast Hospice in memory of June Van Son Kurtz.
