M. Morgan Driskell

Driskell, M. Morgan, M.D., 91, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday June 4, 2000 at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Sparta, GA, he came here in 1958 from Atlanta, GA. He had one of the largest Cardiology and Internal Medicine practices in St. Petersburg from 1958 until his retirement in 1983. He was a Graduate of Emory University and School of Medicine. He received his Post Graduate in Internal Medicine from Cornell Medical School and his Post Graduate in Cardiology from Harvard Medical School. He was a Rear Admiral in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy from 1938 to 1958 and 1966 to 1967. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Phi Delta Theta, Phi Chi Medical Fraternity; and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Survivors include one daughter, Margaret J. Driskell Dyer, St. Petersburg; and one son, William Clark Driskell, Atlanta, GA; two grandsons and two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
