Mark Dana Theroux

Theroux, Mark D., 49, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, May 4, 2007 at home. Born in Japan, he came here in March 2007 from Encinitas, CA where he was the manager of Hansen?s Sporting Goods for 18 years. He was a graduate of Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute in Providence, RI and was an award winning chef at Delmar Race Track and Rancho Mirage Country Club. He was Catholic. He was an avid skier, surf and snowboarder. He is survived by his mother, Judith Theroux of St. Petersburg, FL; father, Roger Theroux of Hopedale, MA; a brother, Scott Polek of Naugatuck, CT; maternal grandmother, Frances Barrett of Southbury, CT; an uncle, Harold Barrett and an aunt Joyce Barrett, both of Palmetto, FL.
