Nilda de la Cruz

Nilda de la Cruz, 83 years old, passed away in St. Petersburg, Florida at St. Anthony’s Hospital on May 5th, 2026 at 10:30pm.

Nilda was born on October 2nd, 1942 in Virac, Catanduanes, Philippines to Eriberto L. Gianan and Zosima T. Panti

Nilda met the love of her life, Tito de la Cruz, and the couple got married on December 9th, 1970 in Virac, Catanduanes, Philippines.

Nilda attended Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines where she received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She worked for AmeriSteel as a certified public accountant as well as a bookkeeper for St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was a member of several organizations to include: Treasurer of Ang Bisaya Of Fl., Treasurer of Sto. Niño Shrine USA, Catanduanes International Association (CIA), Couples for Christ, and CCW for Holy Family Catholic Church.

Nilda is predeceased by her siblings Maria Sarah G. Gatdula, Cielo G. Aguilar, and Edwin P. Gianan. She is survived by her husband, Tito de la Cruz, and siblings Noel P. Gianan, Jose P. Gianan, and Ronnie Miquel P. Gianan. She has many more family members and friends who will deeply miss her and cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home located at 2201 Dr MLK St N. St Petersburg, FL 33704 on Friday, May 15th, 2026 from 5pm-8pm. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 200 78th Ave NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33702 on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at 10am. A graveside service will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 11:30am.
