Raymond Moulton
May 5, 1951 — May 25, 2026
Raymond C. Moulton, 75, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, with his beloved wife by his side. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, he carried the quiet strength, steadiness, and work ethic of his New England roots throughout his life. Though Florida became his home, he never lost the imprint of the Granite State — its humility, its loyalty, and its deep sense of responsibility to others.
He was a devoted husband, a man of deep integrity, and someone whose presence brought humor and lightness to every room. Those who knew him remember his warm smile, his patience, and the way he could banter cleverly and catch you delightfully off guard. He approached life with a craftsman’s care: whether solving a problem, helping a neighbor, or tending to the small daily rituals of home, he did everything with quiet excellence.
Ray began his professional life as a grocery store owner in Amherst, New Hampshire, before returning to school and graduating from the University of South Florida in 1995. He went on to become a Certified Public Accountant and spent many years working in Accounting. He was respected for his reliability, his honesty, and his willingness to help anyone who needed it.
At home, he was happiest in the company of his wife, sharing ordinary days made meaningful by companionship, conversation, and the small joys of their life together. He loved watching blockbuster movies — he revisited Jurassic Park with great delight just recently. He also enjoyed history programs such as Time Team, along with lecture series in the arts and literature. His love of learning ran deep; he was, after all, an English major at Boston University, Class of ’74. He was a devoted New England Patriots fan for many years and wore his cap with pride in both the South and the North. He had a gift for finding contentment in simple things. His kindness was never loud, but it was constant, and it shaped the lives of those who loved him.
He was a man of faith and conviction, living those values quietly but sincerely. In keeping with his generous spirit, he was an organ donor, offering help to others even at the end of his earthly life.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Doreen, who cherished him beyond measure, as well as his brothers Frank and Dana. He was preceded in death by his father, Epworth; his mother, Joan; and his brothers Peter and Jason.
Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, an organization whose mission reflects his lifelong compassion for others.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
