Roy A. Mateer

Roy A. Mateer, 84, of St. Petersburg, FL died Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at the Department Of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Bay Pines, FL under the care of The Hospice Of The Florida Suncoast. He was born in Huntingdon, PA and moved to St. Petersburg in 2003 from Mountain City, TN where he had lived since 1983 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a retired office manager for Atlantic Refining Oil Company in Philadelphia, PA and was a member of the Church Of Village Green in St. Petersburg. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Jane; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Jane and Dale Farber of Bismark, ND; Denise Elizabeth and Mark Beamer of Clearwater, FL; one brother, Wayne of Huntingdon; one sister, Janet Hollyfield of AL; and three grandchildren, Ashlee and Chad Ramey and Colby Farber.
