Ruth D. Bock

Bock, Ruth D. 88, of St. Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at Westminster Suncoast. She was born in Beaver Falls, PA and attended Slippery Rock College. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, but enjoyed early elementary school teaching the most. Her children and grandchildren whom she adored enjoyed her sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Graham and Flora; and siblings, Russ, Helen, and Elva. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Ferris; 2 sons; James Bock, Jr. and Ronald Bock; sister, Wilma Marshall; brother, Paul Douthett; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 beginning at 1 PM with a funeral service at 2 PM at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N. Burial will follow service at Sunnyside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
