Sara W. Edwards

Sara W. "Sally" Edwards, 97, of Bon Secours Place, St. Petersburg, Florida, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Bayfront Medical Center. She was born in Bloomsburg, PA, relocating to Tampa in 1956 from Oaks, PA. She moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1964 returning to Madeira Beach, FL in 1968. A 1958 graduate of the University of Tampa, she taught at Henry Grady Elementary School in Tampa, and retired from Orange Grove Elementary School in Seminole in 1972. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher's Society; She was an active member of St. James United Methodist Church where she was chairman of the Communion Committee, Past President of Mary's Circle, a Kitchen Angel, and a member of the Keenagers. She was a member of the Jamestown Women's Club. She and her late husband traveled extensively and were members of the Tampa Bay Airstream Club. She is survived by two sons, William P. Edwards of Los Angeles, Roger L. Edwards of St. Petersburg; one daughter, Sue Ellen Kennedy of St. Petersburg; a sister Pauline Beishline of Elizabethtown, PA; six grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Gary, and a son, Franklin. $(document).ready(function(){ });
