William Carl Criswell

Criswell, William C., 78, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday August 31, 2004 at the Abbey Rehab & Nursing Center under the care of Hospice. Born in McKeesport, PA, he served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He came here in 1977 from Pittsburgh, PA, where he retired as a firefighter from IAFF Local #1. He was a life time member of the American Legion, the VFW, the Veterans Firefighters Association of Pittsburgh and the NRA. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, LaVerne; two daughters: Donna L. Cooper, St. Petersburg; and Sharon Stigler, Las Vegas, NV; two sons: Timothy M., Newcastle, IN; and William G., Cleveland, OH; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
