Winnie Holcomb Daugherty, 78, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Thursday (Oct. 7, 2004) at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Centre, Ala., she came here in 1959. She taught at Tarpon Springs High School for 29 years, retiring in 1988. She graduated from Montevello in 1946 and received her master's degree from Florida State University's School of Home Economics in 1975. She was a member of Kappa Omicron Nu, the Pinellas County Retired Teachers Association, the Pinellas Family Consumer Sciences Association and a longtime member of Azalea Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Phil, St. Petersburg, and Steve, Winter Haven, FL; a daughter, Sarah Linton, Winter Haven, FL; two sisters, Nell Holcomb, Easley, S.C., and Sulivia Naranjo, Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; a brother, Lamar Holcomb, Crane Hill, Ala.; and two granddaughters, Ashley and Laura Linton. $(document).ready(function(){ });
