Alma Marian Ruiz

Alma Marian Ruiz, 80, of San Manuel, Az, passed away on March 24, 2026.

Born on July 18, 1945, in Point Pleasant New Jersey, Alma was the beloved daughter of George and Anne Poulton. She grew up in Point Pleasant but moved to Arizona as a young adult where she remained. She met her life partner Carlos A. Salazar of San Manuel, Az and began a life of love, adventure and travel.

She was known for her strength, humor, generosity, caring and had a deep love for family and close friends. Alma touched the lives of many through her friendships; she will be remembered for her unique personality.

She is survived by her son Robert Metz Jr, daughter Theresa Metz, grandson Robert Metz, grandson Jonathan Metz, grandson Devin Reed, granddaughter Devianne Douglas, great grandson Luke Metz, sister Georgia Rankin, and sister Cindy Scott. She was preceded in death by partner Carlos A. Salazar, father George Poulton, mother Anne Poulton, brother John Fisher, brother Dwight Fisher, sister Nancy Forgach, and sister Joanne Duffield.

There will be no service as requested by Alma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tri-Community Food Bank located in Mammoth Az in her honor.

Alma will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
