Martin Francis Zivalich
April 1, 1993 — February 3, 2020
Martin Zivalich, 26
Martin Francis Zivalich passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at his home in Arvada, CO.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Aspen Mortuaries in Arvada, CO.
Martin was born on April 1, 1993, the youngest of three children to Maria and Martin Zivalich. He lived most of his life in Arvada, where he was able to cultivate special friendships, including with people with whom he had gone to school for most of his life. He graduated in May 2011 from Arvada West High School.
When he was little, Martin fit the textbook definition of a little daredevil, unafraid to explore the world before him. He did not let fear hold him back and had an unquenchable thirst for figuring out how to solve a problem, fix an item, climb a tree, or unearth new places and ideas.
As an inquisitive, intelligent human, Martin absorbed information with an impressive capacity and loved to talk about the facts and nuances of many topics. He also had many passions, including Magic the Gathering, music with poetic and political lyrics, video games, spending time with his friends, and making people laugh. Martin was never afraid to deliver a solid punchline.
Martin is survived by his maternal grandparents Nicasia and Frank; mother Maria; father Martin (Karen); sister Linda (Justin) and their son Jamison; brother Christopher (Martin); and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family who cared about him deeply. He will be missed by them all.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Veronica and Dewey.
