Nina A. Sterrett

Nina Alyce (Nelson) Sterrett was born to Roy and Letha Nelson in Grand Island, Nebraska on August 29, 1947. A lifetime resident in the Arvada, Colorado area, she died peacefully on August 1, 2018, and now rests among the angels in Heaven. A devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, and sister, Nina will especially be remembered for her loving commitment to her family. Her warm affection for her animal friends will also be fondly remembered by family and friends. She is survived by her children, Tom (Kirsten) and Darcy (Matt), along with five grandchildren, Megan, Tyler, Caitlin, Audrey, and Peter. All have cherished memories of tender moments with their †œGrammy†�. Also surviving are her beloved sister, Nancy (Larry), nieces Heidi and Heather, and nephews and nieces Jason, Anne, William and Nina Charlotte (deceased). In spite of her battle with early-onset Alzheimer†™s disease, Nina†™s light-hearted and warm spirit was dominant to the end. Her bright smile and quick giggle, no matter the circumstances, will endure forever.
