Sandra Smith passed away peacefully on March 10, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Sandra was born and raised in Tarkio, Missouri on September 24,1938 to Albert Harry Meek and Marie Cook Meek. Sandy married Gerald Smith on January 6th, 1957 where they later moved to Denver Colorado and raised their two girls. Sandy worked many years for Gates Rubber Company. She enjoyed shopping, cleaning, and spending time with her family and dogs; most recently Rusty her pomeranian.
Sandra is survived by her husband Gerald Smith, Daughters; Glenda (Kenneth) Murphy, Beth (Gregory) Pohlman. Grandchildren; Kimberly (Jason) Noel, Kevin (Anna) Murphy, Samantha and Jackson Pohlman. Nieces; Marcy, Suzi, Teresa and brother in law Raymond James also held a special place in her heart. Proceeded in death by her parents, brothers; Harry Eugene Meek, Albert Dean Meek, Sisters; Harriet Meek, Martha James.
Funeral services will be held Saturday March 18th, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Aspen Mortuary Chapel, 1350 Simms Street Lakewood, Colorado 80401.
The family would like to thank the many medical professionals and Collier Lutheran Hospice Center for their exceptional care of our wife, mom and grandma.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest you may contribute to the Collier Lutheran Hospice Center Wheatridge, Colorado.
